Description
As every good narrative lyric means more than what it says, these poems convert experience into meaning even as they introduce the reader to new experiences. There are poems about family relationships, a fifth grade rehearsal of what to do if a bomb were to be dropped, the author’s teaching experiences, and the conflict between good and evil. This Poem Means won the 2005 Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award.
