The purpose of the series is to publish materials that advance the understanding and treatment of children and adults with speech, voice, language, and cognitive impairments. The materials selected for publication in the series are those designed to provide professionals with practical applications in clinical, rehabilitation, and educational environments based on innovative and proven methods of intervention.
The series editors are particularly interested in manuscripts that, in experimental versions, have proven successful in developing new approaches to treating clients with speech and language disorders. Following the standards for quality and clinical relevance set by the Susan Brubaker workbooks for aphasia and cognitive rehabilitation, the series makes available treatment tools for use by both clinician and client alike.
Completed manuscripts are preferred, although manuscript proposals will be considered. All submission must be accompanied by a curriculum vita, a summary of the purposed of publication, and a profile of the target audience. Manuscript proposals must be accompanied by an annotated chapter outline and a schedule for the completion of the manuscript.
Two reviews of each project or manuscript and the approval of the Series Editors and the University Press Editorial Board are required before a work can be accepted for publication.
The Press shall negotiate publishing contracts with authors of manuscripts that are to be published as volumes in the Series, and shall deal directly with the authors on all matters pertaining to the publishing contract. All books in the Series shall be copyrighted in the name of the Press.
To submit a proposal or manuscript please contact the series editors: Michael I. Rolnick or Alex Johnson.
