Kay Turner presents OTHERWISE: Queer Scholarship into Song on Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. This highly unusual production takes the form of a musical review/book party featuring the unconventional transformation of recently released queer scholarly works into original songs.

Among participating scholars are Barbara Browning, Ann Cvetkovich, Lisa Cohen, Carolyn Dinshaw, Lisa Duggan, Marget Long, José Muñoz,Tavia Nyong'o, Ann Pellegrini, Maxine Henryson, Kay Turner, and more. Musicians include Kay Turner and with her house band "The Pages" (Viva DeConcini and Mary Feaster), Dynasty Handbag, Gretchen Phillips, Terry Dame, David Driver, Ishwari Lynn Keller, Liz Snyder, "Witch Brew Two" (Paula Schorr and Karen Siegel), Babs Davy and Betsy Farrell and more.

Featured books include Kay Turner and Pauline Greenhill's Transgressive Tales: Queering the Grimms.
