In her session “Talking it Out — Blooming through Conversations,” Jean Alicia Elster will describe how she mined information from a range of conversations—from casual talk at a conference to deep dive family oral histories—to help create authenticity in her family-based historical fiction trilogy. Participants are invited to bring notes about a conversation (recent or not!) for a hands-on exercise.
